Unmasking AlertDialogs (Android)

In Android, is there a recommended way to unmask the entire contents of an alert dialog?
I would think to do it like so: in Kotlin, given a variable dialog of type AlertDialog:FS.addClass(dialog.window?.decorView, "fs-unmask")
However, as per this article, it appears that decorView cannot be unmasked.
