Why are funnels and metrics not consistent?
New
Let’s say I create a customer metric between two metrics and that number is 12%, why is it when I create a funnel with the same two metrics that % is different. Pretty sizable like a 45% difference between the two.

Hello @juanbelljr ! Thanks for your post.
When comparing metrics against a funnel, we wouldn’t expect the numbers to be an exact match. The reason for this is because funnels are looking at unique users who complete a set of steps in a specific order (across any number of sessions or within any sessions, depending on the parameter you’re using). On the other hand, metrics are looking at a single event being completed without any order requirements. Additionally, metrics can be broken down by unique sessions, events, average, etc. whereas funnels cannot.
If you’re still seeing discrepancies that the above information doesn’t resolve, can you please share screenshots of the metrics and funnels you’re comparing? If you can include the metric/funnel filters as well as the results you’re comparing, that would be helpful.
Otherwise, let us know if you have any other questions.
