Code-first method of configuring privacy - resources?
New
Are there any resources that give a thorough explanation of how to implement the code-first method of configuring privacy in Fullstory and how it works operationally? I see that we can add classes to our CSS but how does Fullstory use those classes? Is there anything else we need to do other than adding those classes, i.e. do we need to redeploy the Fullstory code snippet, etc.?
Thank you in advance.

Hey @LydiaN! Thanks for posting your question!
The article, How do I protect my users' privacy in FullStory? is our primary resource for code-first rule management which I would suggest taking a look at first if you haven’t already. 😊
I would love to learn a bit more about what questions you have regarding implementing this method. If you're unsure how to implement custom rules based on the information there, it may be in your best interest to create in-app privacy rules instead as those are easier to configure.
Regarding classes, this help article might be useful! We have a default list of attributes we index but any other attributes you add will need to be explicitly added to your element attributes list. When adding a new attribute to your CSS or to that list, you don't need to redeploy your FullStory snippet.
Please let me know if you have any further questions!
