Is it possible to know the average number of Tabs a user have during their session?

Now that we can see when users interact with multiple tabs during their session, I wonder how we might be able to know on average how many they have open. I have seen some consistent-ish behavior where users have their Cart on one tab and product details page in many others. Knowing if this behavior is consistent across a broad audience would inform us in the future if we should provide an alternative to open certain documents or pages in a new tab.

At this time, I’m afraid we don’t offer search filters related to an end-user’s tab experience (e.g. number of tabs open, number of tabs closed, etc.) As a result, it’s not currently possible to create a metric that’s looking for data like the average number of tabs a user has open during their session.
Based on your use case, I can absolutely see how this would be helpful though so I’ve gone ahead and passed your feedback over to our Product team for consideration. Adding more robust search options for tabbed browsing is definitely something our team has been digging into.

thank you @Tym also, sometimes the event change Tab can be important for us as I mentioned before so I wonder if you can also pass my feedback related to the possibility of highlighting a particular event in the events area when watching a recording so it can be easier to see when a particular event occurs. This can be a different color or a border around the event so as I’m seeing the events happening I can easily see when the customer is switching tabs.
Hi @DataSeed99 ! Absolutely - I have passed this feedback over to our Product team. While we currently highlight the events in the event log that match the user actions you’re filtering for, I can definitely see how highlighting activity in various tabs could be useful to more easily understand when users are switching tabs. I also want to note that we’ll show in the top, left of the session which tab the user is viewing when completing an action:
