Track tab visits before action
New
I’m trying to generate metrics for confusion on a page by way of how many times users click on certain tabs before finding the one they’re looking for and making some action (click, entry, etc.). Any advice on how to create this metric?

Hey @leah.r! Thanks so much for your question! 😊
We don’t currently have event filters related to tabs at the moment, but I will submit this as a feature request on your behalf as I can see how this would be valuable information to pull.
Although you can’t exactly view how many times users clicked on tabs before finding what they’re looking for, you can definitely gain insight into how users are navigating this desired path through the Funnels feature. First, you’d have to identify what the ideal path is that shows they found what they’re looking for, then create a funnel based on that path. You can then view how many users followed this path or dropped off etc.
Please let me know if you have any further questions!
