Exclude multiple events
I’m trying to build a segments to capture part of a two-step login flow. New customers must complete both steps, returning customers need only complete step 1.
I built a segment intended to isolate the returning customers. In the segment, I included events from step 1, but excluded events from step 2 which only new customers would generate.
Watching the sessions, new customers are consistently being included in my segment, even though they generate events that I have excluded. Would be grateful for any suggestions as to what is going on.
I did wonder - when I exclude multiple events - does FullStory exclude only sessions where all of the excluded events are triggered? Or does it exclude sessions where any one of the excluded events is triggered?

I’m going to start with your last question here as it will lead to a potential solution for the first part! When excluding multiple events, FullStory will only exclude sessions where all of the excluded events are triggered unless you utilize “OR” logic which would exclude sessions where any one of the excluded events are triggered. Here’s an example below:
So, as for your first question, I would ensure that the exclusions applied to your segment are using the correct logic based on the scenario!
