Fullstory Quick Start Guide - Tweaks

If you’ve just been invited to a new Fullstory instance, there are likely to be a few tweaks you’ll want to make to get things in your ideal state. Below are some of those suggestions:

Note - All these steps must be repeated for every Fullstory Org you’re in. If your company uses Umbrella Management and maintains multiple Orgs, you must repeat these steps.

Configure your Fullstory Digest - Firstly, if you’ve yet to come across the Fullstory digest it's a quick review of the past week’s activity delivered by email. By default, this will arrive every Sunday evening, however, you can choose to either get daily reports or completely unsubscribe from this page in your settings. Once you’ve chosen your frequency, adjust which segments you want included in your digest. I’d recommend leaving the Everyone segment included to see how general traffic has trended over the past week. You can remove segments from your digest on either the segment page or through settings; however, to add anything new, you’ll need to do so on the segment page. You’ll find the Add/Remove Digest button in the top right of your screen, next to an envelope icon.

Configure your Spaces - When joining an Org for the first time, all Spaces except for General will be hidden from you. To make them visible, look under the General space in the left navigation bar and you’ll see a Show Hidden Spaces button. Clicking this will reveal any other Spaces in your Org and you can make them permanently visible by hovering over their name and clicking the eyeball icon.

Configure your Favorites - When first joining a Fullstory Org, you’ll find 5 segments in your Starred list underneath the Spaces in your library. To edit this list, you can add/remove any object (with a dedicated library) from that object's details page or your library. Quickly review the existing objects within your instance by opening up your Library (from the top section of the left sidebar). If it’s obvious that you want to add an item to your favorites, simply click the hollow star next to the title of the object. If the title alone doesn't make it obvious, open it up and review how it’s built; if you then decide you’d like to star it, you can do so by clicking the hollow star next to the object’s title at the top of the page.
