Losing lots of sessions

As of ~start of last week, I'm no longer recording a large % of the sessions I used to on my site. I haven't changed any of the collection code - is there a reason for this or something I should look into?

I've checked the support article about collecting sessions - (1) these are the same users that I used to collect sessions on, (2) they haven't installed any recent ad blockers etc, and (3) I'm not over my session allotment.

 

Please let me know, would be a huge help!

    Hi Ken Schumacher — That definitely seems odd! My first recommendation is to verify that data capture is still working properly. Generally, you can test this by visiting the same page these users are navigating to and calling FS.getCurrentSessionURL() in your browser's developer console to fetch your session URL. If this returns your session URL properly, that should help indicate that capture is working properly; however, if this call returns a NULL response, this could mean that something is misconfigured with your deployment. Alternatively, if you're using a tag manager, there might be firing rules amiss. 

    That said, if you verify that data capture is working properly, but you're still missing a large number of your user sessions, we can absolutely investigate this further in a support ticket. You can reach out to us directly at support@fullstory.com with some more details or we can create a ticket after we receive an update on the above.
