Squarespace

Squarespace is an all-in-one solution designed for empowering individuals and businesses to create professional websites and online stores with ease. Fullstory can be installed on most Squarespace instances via one of the methods provided below. Once installed, you can use Fullstory to play back user sessions, build conversion funnels, and gain new behavioral insights into how visitors use your site.

Installation

Squarespace provides multiple ways to add custom code to your site. We recommend referencing Squarespace's documentation on adding custom code to your site, keeping in mind the following considerations:

Per-page vs per-site installation

While Squarespace offers several per-page customization options (such as code blocks), we don't recommend this method. Capturing user sessions on a per-page basis can lead to incomplete and unreliable data, limiting the usefulness of the behavioral data in Fullstory.

To install Fullstory on your entire Squarespace site, use either code injection or the Squarespace Developer Platform. Most Fullstory customers will find the code injection method is sufficient for their needs.

Fullstory installation via code injection

1. Log in to your Squarespace account.
2. Open the code injection panel.
   
   To navigate to the code injection panel manually:
   

   1. Open your Squarespace site's config page.
   2. Go to Website > Pages.
   3. Go to Utilities > Website Tools.
   4. Open Custom Code > Code Injection.
3. Within your Fullstory account, copy your Fullstory code snippet (learn how to find it here).
4. Paste your Fullstory code snippet into the “Header” section.
   
5. Click 'Save' within the code injection panel.
