Most clicked content on a group of pages

New

How can I create a report on the most click content for a grouped of pages.

Example. If I have a blog page with several articles, I would like to know what item they click on the most.

Thanks

Luvna

  • Hi @Luvna

Thanks for reaching out!  When trying to see the top results a metric using the dimensionality card view is a great place to start.

If you want to see what the top pages users visit are you could set a metric similar to this and you will see the top 50 results. You can change the group by option to URL / adjust the filters etc.

Another metric suggestion could look like this:

You can be more specific if you can pick out attributes from the CSS selectors, you could then group the results by text to see what users are clicking on.

You could try using a heatmap as @Shriram suggested but if you see clicks showing as matched to multiple possible elements, it means that there are not enough attributes in the CSS selectors for us to be specific with some of the elements.

If these suggestions aren’t quite hitting the mark, it would be really helpful if you send an email to support@fullstory.com with the URL of the blog post and details of the links / screenshot so we can take a look at what you’re trying to review. Then we can take a look to see what search filters we can recommend specifically for you.

    Hope this is helpful!

  • Hi @Luvna

Thanks for coming back to us.

When working with heatmaps, you will need to select a single page definition and you will see some drop down options:

For scroll depth across multiple pages, you could try configuring a metric like this:

You can then use the “group by” options to see the average scroll depth based on URL / Page definition etc.

I can see my colleague reached out to you via email from the support team, so if you want to talk more about your use-case specifically, would you be able to reply to their email so we can take a closer look at your account?

Hopefully this gives you a starting point but if you’re still a little unsure, reach out to the support team and we will work with you :-)

    All the best,
    Gemma
