Is the Fullstory script served by a CDN?

Yes! We wouldn’t be doing our job as a digital experience company if we weren’t making sure our own code is as fast and responsive to your users as possible. We host the Fullstory script (fs.js) on Google Cloud CDN. You can view Google Cloud CDN’s edge node locations here.

Wait...what’s a CDN?

A CDN, or Content Delivery Network, is a collection of web servers located across the world that each serve static copies of commonly used resources used by a web page with the goal of speeding up the download speeds for those resources. This is accomplished by dramatically decreasing the geographic distance between the user and the resource being downloaded.

That’s a mouthful, but it means that we are serving fs.js as fast as possible. Speaking of which, you can read about all the steps we’ve taken to make Fullstory as fast and low-impact as possible.

What do I need to do to take advantage of this newfound speed?

Simply update your website’s version of the Fullstory snippet to the latest one which is available in your account settings. To be sure you have the correct version you should see 

window['_fs_script'] = 'edge.fullstory.com/s/fs.js';

in the snippet code which indicates the request will be made to our CDN-hosted copy of the Fullstory script. See below:
