High level overview of Activation and Warehouse

Anywhere is comprised of two distinct product suites, each designed for a different set of use cases:

Anywhere: Activation

Activation provides real-time access to user session data, enabling you to detect, understand, and instantly act on behavioral signals across your digital ecosystem. It's designed for building integrations for in-the-moment activation and AI-driven use cases.

Activation has three primary solution sets in mind:

Activation offers a suite of tools for product managers and developers:

Anywhere: Warehouse

Warehouse enables seamless integration with your data infrastructure, providing flexible access to Fullstory's comprehensive user experience data. It's the ideal solution for business intelligence, analytics, and offline analysis.

Warehouse offers two primary methods for accessing your data:

  • Raw Data: Normalized event data without transformations. This is best for data engineers who require raw data access for custom ETL pipelines.
  • Ready to Analyze Views: Pre-transformed data, organized into fact and dimension tables, ready for immediate analysis. This is ideal for business intelligence and analytics use cases.

Warehouse supports hourly syncing to a variety of destinations, including BigQuery, Amazon Redshift, and Snowflake.

Choosing the Right Anywhere Solution

The right solution depends on your specific use case, particularly your requirements around data latency and structure.

Feature Activation Warehouse
Primary Use Case Real-time action, online inferencing, and triggering workflows in external systems. Business intelligence, analytics, and raw data access for offline analysis.
Data Latency Near real-time; data is available within seconds of capture. Data is delivered via hourly batched syncs.
Completeness of Data Surgical, specific streams of high-value events or patterns. Comprehensive representation of all your behavioral data.
Data Model Fullstory event data, text summaries, or a data schema you specify. Raw flat file format or 30+ pre-transformed fact and dimension tables.
AI & Automation Built-in Generative AI for automated session summaries and real-time triggers for external workflows. Provides comprehensive raw data for building and training your own offline ML models.
Primary Interface REST API and Webhooks. Direct connection to your data warehouse (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery).

Many teams will find value in both approaches. For example, you might use Warehouse to analyze long-term trends and Activation to provide personalized experiences in the moment.
