Want to get a feel for session summaries without reading all the documentation?
Summarize multiple sessions
- Click Home on the lefthand menu.
- Click Just watch sessions under the Templates section.
- Scroll down to the Session Playlist.
- Click the Generate Summary button.
- Fullstory will generate a summary of the ten most recent sessions on the playlist.
Summarize a single session
- Click Home on the lefthand menu.
- Click Just watch sessions under the Templates section.
- Scroll down to the Session Playlist.
- Hover over the play button of a single session on the playlist.
- Fullstory will generate a session summary of the single session.
Session Summaries vs. Ask StoryAI: Session summaries are automatically generated overviews of sessions. For interactive analysis where you can ask specific questions about what happened in a session, use Ask StoryAI in Session Replay. Ask StoryAI can analyze individual session events, identify frustration signals, and answer questions about user behavior.
Frequently asked questions
Can you summarize multiple sessions for same user?
Not right now. Session summaries are driven by the session playlist. While multiple sessions for a single user may match the given search criteria, only the most recent matching session for a particular user is used when generating session summaries.
