  • Engagement: Reflection of user active time in the app.
  • Experience: Frustration signals relative to overall app interactions.

Workforce Application Experience Score

Adoption

The adoption metric measures the number of users seen in the app relative to the number of licenses recorded in Workforce. In the absence of a license count, Workforce falls back on the total number of users seen in the entire organization.

  • Poor: < 20% utilization
  • Moderate: 20-50% utilization
  • Strong: > 50% utilization

Performance

Performance metrics use the Lighthouse 10 Performance score, modified to use only the following three metrics:

  • First Contentful Paint (Median FCP): Your users perceive a delay in the initial load.
  • Largest Contentful Paint (Median LCP): Your users perceive a delay in loading visual assets.
  • Cumulative Layout Shift (Median CLS): Your users experience minimal content shift as pages load.

Performance metrics are scored as follows:

  • Poor: < 50
  • Moderate: 50-89
  • Strong: > 90

Engagement

The engagement metric looks at the percentage of users who have more than 60 seconds of active time per 30 days relative to all users seen in the app.

  • Poor: < 20%
  • Moderate: 20-50%
  • Strong: > 50%

Experience

Experience metrics look at the number of frustration signals relative to total clicks within the app. A score is calculated in total and for each of the following frustration signals:

  • Rage clicks: Occurs when a user clips or taps multiple times rapidly.
  • Error clicks: Clicks or taps that occur right before a client-side JavaScript or console error.
  • Dead clicks: Clicks or taps that have no effect on the page.

Experience metrics are scored as follows:

  • Few: < 1% of clicks
  • Moderate: 1-5% of clicks
  • Many: > 5% of clicks
