Understanding “or” logic helps you create powerful and precise searches in Fullstory. You can search for different values within the same search filter using the “or” button, or you can search for different events entirely using “or events.” Read on to learn more.
Using the "or" button
The “or” button lets you search for different values within the same search filter. For example, users who clicked on either Apples or Oranges. The event is the same in both cases (clicked), but the values are different (Apples vs. Oranges).
Start your search looking for users who clicked on Apples, then click the “or” button to add Oranges.

Using "or" events
On the other hand, “or events” help you find sessions where users completed different events entirely. For example, users who either clicked on Apples or searched for the word Apples by changing the text in your search bar. Note that the events here are different (clicked vs. changed).
Start your search looking for users who clicked on Apples, then click the vertical ellipses and choose “Or events” to add the changed event filter.
Your finished search will return results where users either clicked on Apples or searched for the word Apples during their session.

Is there a limit on the amount of "or" events you can use within a specific search?
If you are filtering for various event types in your search, the limit is 10. If you are filtering for a specific event type, the limit varies based on the conditions you use. (ie. "is", "is not", "contains part", "does not contain part", etc.)
