Because Workforce is built on the Fullstory platform, you'll add users from within Fullstory and manage them there.

"Workforce users" refers to the people who will be logging into Workforce to view how internal applications are being utilized.

In contrast, "employees" are those individuals whose application usage is observed by Workforce.

This article is referring to Workforce users, not employees.

Users added to Workforce will have access to features of both Workforce and the Fullstory platform. See the following for user roles and permissions in Workforce and the Fullstory platform, respectively:

Add additional Workforce users to both manage your Workforce instance and collaborate together on better understanding and supporting your internal applications.

FAQ

For an employee with the Workforce browser extension installed—what permissions do they have?

Unless you explicitly add them as a Workforce user, employees with the Workforce browser extension installed will not have permission to view your Workforce account.

That said, employees with the Workforce extension installed are able to see a list of configured apps by opening the Workforce extension in their browser. See this section of the Workforce Employee Guide for more information.

What permissions do Guest users have?

Because Workforce is a part of the Fullstory platform, your account can be configured to share sessions with Guest users.

Guest users will only be able to see the individual sessions that have been shared with them. While there are no direct links to the Workforce interface for Guest users, if a Guest user navigates to the Workforce apps page, they will be able to see the list of configured apps, same as what an employee sees when viewing the Workforce extension.
