- Part of StoryAI Opportunities, which requires StoryAI Premium.
- All users (except Guests) can view and investigate Opportunities.
- Admin, Architect, and Standard users can update Opportunity status and assignment; connect funnels; and comment on Opportunities.
- Admin and Architect users can mute Opportunity issues.
StoryAI Opportunities proactively identifies and manages digital experience issues, streamlining the processes of identifying problems, conducting root-cause analysis, and tracking resolutions. Customers who put Opportunities to work for them will accelerate error resolution and minimizes disruptions that can negatively impact conversion goals or customer satisfaction.
Getting started with Opportunities
Interested in putting Opportunities to work for you? Talk to a member of your account team about StoryAI Premium.
Once Opportunities has been enabled for your Fullstory account, get started with the following:
- Within Fullstory, select Opportunities from the left-hand menu.
- Choose one of the following tabs at the top of the Opportunities page:
- Funnel Drops - Connect funnels to your account and have Fullstory automatically watch for unexpected drops that ultimately affect conversion.
- Spiking Issues - Fullstory will automatically scan for a set of anomalous friction or error events that are happening on your digital properties.
- After exploring the various types of Opportunities, circle back to the Overview page to manage the Opportunities you've investigated.
Tip: Ask StoryAI can surface and explain Opportunities as part of its analysis. When using Ask StoryAI in Ask StoryAI Home, Dashboards, or Segments, it will automatically highlight relevant Opportunities in its insights.
The Opportunities Overview page
When you first open Opportunities, you're brought to the Overview page:
The Overview page provides a set of filters, value metrics, and a kanban board for tracking opportunities.
AI Summary of Recent Opportunities
When you visit the Opportunities Overview page, you'll see an AI-generated summary at the top that highlights unread Opportunities since your last visit. This summary is personalized to you based on your user profile and recent activity, helping you quickly understand what's new and what requires attention.
The AI Summary provides insights into:
- New and unread Opportunities identified since you last visited
- Key trends and patterns in recent issues
- Recommended areas to investigate based on your interests
Opportunity filters
You can view all opportunities—both Funnel Drops and Spiking Issues—at the Overview page. Filter opportunities by various criteria and adjust the time range on the right.
The filters that you select will be associated with your Fullstory user and persist across sessions.
Value metrics
A series of value metrics appears right below the filters, including:
- Total Opportunities: Count of Funnel Drops and Spiking Issues
- Lost Conversions: Count of conversions lost from Spiking Issues
- Funnel Drops: Count of the number of hours that funnels have dropped below their baseline
- Resolved Opportunities: Count of resolved Funnel Drops and Spiking Issues
Value metrics will automatically update as you adjust the filters.
Kanban board view
Opportunities are arranged in a kanban board to track progress using the following status groupings:

To move an opportunity card from one status grouping to another, click into the opportunity and update the Status property. You can also Assign the opportunity, and for Spiking Issues, adjust the Severity and Mute.
For Funnel Drop cards, you'll see the funnel bar chart, the trend chart, and the Investigation Summary. Click Full Report to see the detailed Funnel Drop investigation.
For Spiking Issues cards, you'll default to seeing the Overview tab, with option to view the other tabs for investigating Spiking Issues.
Unread opportunities or opportunities with an updated status will have a red dot on the opportunity card.
Opportunities options
Click the 3 dots (⋮) next to Opportunities at the top of the page to be presented with the following options:
- Connect Funnel: Add a funnel to be used in Funnel Drops and in Spiking Issues Lost Conversions.
- Remove Funnel: Remove any funnels that you've added to Opportunities.
- Manage Watched Elements: Configure which Watched Elements are monitored for Spiking Issues.
- Manage Muted Issues: Manage which Spiking Issues have been muted.
