How do I create an Event Sequence card?
To create an Event Sequence card, create a segment by searching for the specific events in your sequence. Fullstory will create an Event Sequence card when your segment contains two or more event filters. Then Fullstory will show you the percentage of your users who have been in this sequence during the specified time frame.
And here is the search that produced this funnel:
Understanding "in this order" vs. "in any order"
The Event Sequence card respects your segment's event order setting. If your segment is configured to match events in this order, the card will show users who completed the events in that specific sequence. If your segment is configured to match events in any order, the card will show users who completed all the events regardless of the order.
This can result in different user counts depending on which option you select for your segment. For example, a segment with events in any order will typically show more users than the same events in this order because it's less restrictive.
Note: When you click Explore as Funnel (see below), the resulting Funnel will always use in this order logic, as that's how Funnels work. This means the Funnel may show different results than an Event Sequence card based on a segment with in any order logic.
Explore as Funnel
At the bottom of your Event Sequence card, you'll see a button that says Explore as Funnel. Funnels help to examine how users move through a series of steps. Using Funnels, you can create dashboards, analyze conversions, and gain more advanced insights into your flows. Click Explore as Funnel to automatically open your sequence as a Funnel. Give your Funnel a name and click Save to start exploring!
